The Golden Globes: The Fantastic Four

There were a lot of beautiful dresses seen on the red carpet last night at the Golden Globes. The celebrities (or their stylists to be correct!) really stepped it up. I have narrowed my favourites down to a number of four. I often like a lot of sparkle and glamour when it comes to these events (as seen on Angelina Jolie in a green Versace gown and Anne Hathaway in Armani Privé A/W 2010), so it surprised me that my absolute favourite look of the night is the nude Calvin Klein dress worn by Emma Stone. Her simplistic look, with such a clean-cut dress and only a few accessories proves the saying that "less is more". And what I love most about the dress is how well it goes to her blonde hair and her skin tone. Also, I am so happy to see Leighton Meester in Burberry (from the pre-fall 2011 collection). She is the perfect Burberry girl in my opinion (except she isn't British...tiny detail).

Who's dress of the night was your favourite?

Modelgeddon

Today I was sent this great video which is a trailer of the film collaboration between LOVE Magazine and Versace. It is directed by James Lima together with Katie Grand, who said this about the collaboration:

"Working with James Lima again was of course completely thrilling, and adding Versace into the mix was very exciting. The models we used are badass cyber chicks who are so cool and fuck-me gorgeous they don't care that the world is falling apart. James is indeed a genius".

Watch it! I know you'll love it.

Les Copains, Versace, Moschino, Prada: Milan Fashion Week Spring 2011

Well it's safe to say that stripes are going to be HUGE next Spring! Stripes done well-in chic silhouettes and eye-popping colors-are pure candy. However I'm very concerned about Prada's stripes for Spring 2011. I'm all for modernized and inventive new takes on old shapes, but Prada's boxy striped ode to Tommy Bahama shirts and shapeless Dr. Evil '90's suits are pure awful! Who in their right mind (and don't get me started on the rave reviews received) would wear those? And while I'm at it, someone please tell Moschino that white cowboy hats are completely offensive when paired with feminine suits and polka dots!...
