After appearing on The Bachelorette, starring as The Bachelor and competing on Dancing With the Stars, Jake Pavelka is trying to launch a real acting career.

Today, he appeared on the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful.

"I play a pilot," said Jake Pavelka, who is/was a pilot before becoming a professional reality star. "What's ironic is that it's harder to play a pilot than to be a pilot!"

Jake signs an autograph for someone who needs a hobby.

Jake Pavelka was offered the role in part because B&B producer Brad Bell flies planes, too. "He's a pilot himself and we had a whole lot in common," says Pavelka.

Also soaring is Pavelka's love life – he and wedding planner Meghan Jones are going strong. If that doesn't work out, there's always The Bachelor again.

"I read that story that I was begging to be The Bachelor again," says Jake, who was producers' backup plan after Kiptyn Locke, Reid Rosenthal, Womack and Maksim Chmerkovskiy (seriously) all turned it down. "That was news to me."

people.com - Jake Pavelka has come a long way since his nasty public breakup over trust issues with ex-fiancée Vienna Girardi. Not only does the former Bachelor star guest star on Lifetime’s Drop Dead Diva this Sunday, but he’s also in a more relaxed state of mind these days.

Even though Pavelka, 32, believed he’d “absolutely” be with Girardi for life, he tells PEOPLE, “It’s okay; everything happens for a reason.”

In fact, the reality star — and actor — just wants his ex to be happy. “I hope she goes out and breaks a million hearts,” Pavelka told reporters. “I think she’s got some pretty realistic goals in life, and I wish her the absolute best. Hopefully she’ll find that guy she can spend the next 60 years of her life with.”

Pavelka, who says he hasn’t interacted with Girardi since all the drama went down, hopes that over time, he and his ex can even become pals. “I don’t have any hurt feelings over it,” he says. “The whole thing was tragic and it was sad but it happened and … it really is okay. We’ll probably let a little bit of time go by, but I’m sure someday our paths will cross and we’ll be friends.”

Unlike Girardi, who just announced she has a new man, Pavelka hasn’t found it as easy to jump back into the dating game. “I’m tip-toeing back over there,” he says. “I haven’t really met anybody that I wanted to date. I guess that goes both ways. You kind of have to meet somebody that wants to date you.

As for right now, Pavelka is focused on his Drop Dead Diva episode. “My character Toby Davlin had similar life experiences, so I could relate,” he says. “It would be difficult having not done The Bachelor to relate to what that guy’s going through, and build a complete character around him. I don’t play myself. It’s not a cameo … He’s not a warm, compassionate guy.” –-Dahvi Shira

She claims all she wanted to do was move home to Florida and get out of the spotlight, but a newly-single Vienna Girardi hit the town Saturday in Hollywood.

"I"m moving on with my life and I'm not looking back," a smiling Vienna told Radar Online at the Carrera Sunglasses Escape event at the Chateau Marmont.

With a positive attitude and without that stiff she used to be engaged to, she said "I'm really excited about just living on my own and being happy again."

Surrounded by friends, as well as some other celebrities like Nicole Richie, Vienna Girardi certainly looked pretty in a white tank top and skinny black jeans.

"It's great to be out with my girlfriends hanging out. We all have so much fun," said the airheaded bubbly 23-year-old. "I'm happy to have my smile back."

The sadness seen during the tear-filled interview on The Bachelorette last week? Long gone. "It's been a long time and I'm really ready to live my life again."

No word if her sex emails to Lee Smith have led to a reconciliation, but she's landed a marketing job at Biolustre and is enthusiastic about the opportunity.

Jake Pavelka’s sexual orientation has been a hotly debated topic since The Bachelor star's very public breakup with his airhead fiance Vienna Girardi.

Long before the rumors surfaced Jake is not into girls, Vienna was already making comments to that effect, blaming it for the pair's lack of intimacy.

“Who wouldn’t want to touch me? He’s obviously gay,” Vienna told her ex-boyfriend, Brian Lee Smith, while she was still living with Jake Pavelka.

News that Jake refused to put it to Vienna during the final six months of their relationship, which only lasted about six months, was widely reported.

He didn't even really deny this during their recent TV smackdown, either, awkwardly saying there's more to relationships than physical intimacy.

Yeah ... like starring on every possible reality show. Pavelka later asked why he would want to be intimate with a woman who undermines him.

Jake has emphatically denied that he is gay, but "abstained from sex" for religious reasons after they started their relationship ... supposedly.

Toward the end of their whirlwind engagement, Vienna started to re-think her opinions. Maybe he's not gay, just a fake liar fame whore!
